“[LSBU is] embedded in its south London community to an extent other Universities can only dream of.”
Alistair McCall, Editor of the Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide

Educational Partnerships

LSBU has a long history of collaborating with education and community organisations to support the aspiration and academic progression of learners in our local community.

We are proud to have a student body that reflects the diversity of our south London location and the University’s Student Recruitment & Outreach team delivers programmes with local schools, colleges and community partners to provide opportunities for learners to explore different subjects, learn new skills and engage with higher education.

In addition to the University, LSBU Group contains Lambeth College and a Multi-Academy Trust comprising South Bank UTC and University Academy of Engineering South Bank. The Group spans four London boroughs (Southwark, Lambeth, Croydon and Havering) covering education from secondary school to post-doctoral level.

LSBU also collaborates with a number of external partners including: hosting one of the world’s largest Confucius Institutes; providing library access to students at Morley College; and hosting a hub of the Mayor of London’s Construction Academy.

We are always looking for opportunities to collaborate with community partners for our programmes. If you would like to learn more about the work we do with young people and adult learners, and how you or your organisation could collaborate, please get in touch with our Student Recruitment & Outreach team.

Other Partnerships

We work closely with local partners to support our local community including: We Are Waterloo, South Bank Employers Group, Southwark Skills Partnership and Lambeth First. We have memorandums of understanding with our three local boroughs – Lambeth, Lewisham and Southwark – ensuring we support their strategic priorities for local residents and businesses.

If you think your stakeholders could benefit through a collaboration with the University, we’d be pleased to hear from you.
